IgA nephropathy is one of the most common primary glomerular diseases worldwide, especially in China and East Asian countries. The pathological manifestation of the disease is characterized by the deposition of IgA immunoglobulins in the kidneys, leading to mesangial proliferation. Clinically, it is prominently manifested by hematuria, often accompanied by varying degrees of proteinuria or hypertension. Most patients exhibit a slow progression of kidney disease, making it the most common cause of end-stage renal disease in young adults, imposing a heavy disease burden on families and society.
In recent years, there have been great breakthroughs in the development of new drugs for IgA nephropathy, especially in reducing the production of pathogenic IgA and blocking the activation of complement. With the new drugs coming to market, it is expected to greatly reduce the risk of renal failure in IgA nephropathy patients and improve the prognosis of patients.
KingMylab has supported over 60 clinical trial projects in the field of nephrology. The laboratory technology platform is comprehensive, especially the renal pathology diagnosis platform, which relies on the largest domestic renal disease diagnosis center in terms of specimen volume. It provides full support for clinical research of nephrology, including patient screening, pharmacodynamics, and safety indicators.
